The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is a vital position responsible for assisting the food service manager in daily food and meal preparation, maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records, and ensuring high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices. This role plays a critical part in upholding Aramark’s commitment to quality service by preparing quality food and baked goods according to planned menus, managing storage and sanitation of food items, and ensuring the timely preparation of a wide variety of food items. The Food Service Worker is also key to maintaining cleanliness, kitchen organization, and adherence to food safety standards, essential for a safe and balanced food service environment.
In this position, the Food Service Worker will collaborate closely with the manager daily to understand menu requirements and assist in completing daily transaction reports. Duties also include supervising food temperature requirements, serving food according to schedules and policies, and caring for kitchen equipment with an emphasis on safety, especially the proper use of knives. The role demands physical stamina as it may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, or extended periods of walking and standing. There is also an expectation for compliance with uniform policies and the potential use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Duties
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- Understand what is inclusive of a meal
- Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Adhere to the uniform policy
- Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- Supervise the food temperature requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
- Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- Comply with physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
- Use uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment as required
