This position is part-time with evening shifts, typically starting between 4:00 to 4:30 PM and ending between 7:30 to 8:00 PM, with availability required on both weekdays and weekends. Focused on preparing and serving meals that are scratch-made, utilizing a holistic approach emphasizing seasonal, local, and responsibly sourced ingredients, this role ensures that residents receive nutritious, visually appealing, and tasty meals every day. Employees in this role play a critical part in maintaining food safety by adhering to strict HACCP guidelines for handling and preparation, as well as following all corporate, state, and federal regulations regarding food storage and sanitation.
Beyond meal preparation, this position involves cleaning and maintaining the food service area, including dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and possibly setting and clearing tables. Food Service Workers also handle meal service or preparation for delivery, ensuring correct portioning and temperature standards are met consistently. Job Duties
- Assisting in cleaning and sanitation the food service area including setting and clearing tables
- dishwashing, sweeping and mopping and other utility tasks
- serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning
- ensure food is at correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- follow HACCP for correct food handling and production
- properly store foods following all corporate, State, and Federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- maintain good working relationships with co-workers, customers, administrators, and Managers
- perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- adhere to SPHP's code of conduct
