This Food Service Worker position is an hourly role with a competitive pay rate of $18.98 per hour. It offers a dynamic work environment where employees play an integral part in ensuring quality food production and maintaining high standards of sanitation and kitchen safety. This role includes assisting the food service manager with a variety of tasks including meal preparation, record keeping for cash receipts and meals served, as well as daily report completion. The responsibilities also encompass preparing quality food and baked goods in adherence to planned menus, managing food storage in a sanitary and accurate manner, and serving food according to predefined schedules and departmental policies.

The Food Service Worker is expected to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintain cleanliness and organization of the work and storage areas, and follow strict food safety guidelines including proper handling and storage techniques. Duties also include garnishing dishes to enhance their visual appeal and customer satisfaction, coordinating major cleaning tasks for refrigeration and cooking equipment, and overseeing temperature requirements to ensure food quality and safety. Physical demands of the role may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) use may be required.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service preferred
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment when required
