The Food Service Worker role at Aramark involves supporting the kitchen manager in preparing meals, maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records, and assisting with daily reporting responsibilities. This position plays a key role in ensuring high standards of food quality, kitchen sanitation, and safety are consistently met. The Food Service Worker will prepare a variety of food and baked goods following planned menus, manage food storage in sanitary conditions, and serve meals according to schedule and policy. Additional duties include managing kitchen equipment carefully, adding garnishes for presentation, and organizing cleaning tasks such as scrubbing counters and sanitizing food service areas.

This role requires physical stamina for tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, and adherence to uniform and personal protective equipment guidelines. The Food Service Worker is expected to collaborate closely with the manager daily to understand and prepare the menu correctly, supervise food temperature compliance, and maintain orderly workspaces. Flexibility is essential, as job duties may be updated or expanded to meet business needs without prior formal notice. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in food service preferred
Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Basic food safety and sanitation knowledge
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to adapt to changing duties and schedules

Job Qualifications

Food Service Certificate as needed
Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Job Duties

Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
Understand what is inclusive of a meal
Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and
Add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
Adhere to the uniform policy
Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
Supervise the food temperature requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
