This specific role involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals in strict accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. Responsibilities include delivering stock supplies to patient floor kitchens, serving guests while maintaining positive customer relations, replenishing food and supplies appropriately, and performing sanitation duties. The role requires completing dish room tasks daily and handling payment collections for guest trays. The food service associate also manages food sales transactions in the cafeteria as a cashier, complies with established policies, sets up and serves meals for corporate retail, catering, the Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets, and decorates buffet and reception tables as assigned. This position is critical to ensuring high-quality food preparation and service, either by directly performing these duties or supporting coworkers in doing so efficiently. The role is designed for an individual who can independently manage all food service functions and is cross-trained across responsibilities, including training others.

Estimated pay ranges from $16.00 to $19.49 per hour depending on experience. The position supports a collaborative and customer-focused atmosphere while contributing significantly to the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of patients and guests. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Safety certification required within 90 days of job entry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food and nutrition preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage cash transactions
  • Ability to perform sanitation duties
