Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food service, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests across 15 countries worldwide. Rooted deeply in service and unified by a strong sense of purpose, Aramark is committed to delivering excellent experiences for its clients, partners, and communities through dedicated teams and innovative solutions. The company emphasizes equal employment opportunity and inclusivity, ensuring a supportive and nondiscriminatory environment for all employees regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, gender, disability, or other protected characteristics. Aramark values the development of its workforce, encouraging employees to grow their talents, pursue their passions, and achieve their full professional potential.
The Food Service Worker role at the Ozark Correctional Center represents a vital position within Aramark's food service operations, specifically tailored to the correctional environment. This is a supervisory role focused on managing and overseeing inmates who assist in meal preparation and food service activities within the correctional facility. The Food Service Worker ensures that all meals and food items are prepared in strict accordance with production plans, hygiene standards, and safety protocols set forth by Aramark and regulatory bodies.
Key responsibilities include training inmates on proper cooking methods using Aramark recipes, supervising the preparation and assembly of meals, and ensuring food portions meet the required dietary needs. The role demands strict adherence to security policies and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment. The Food Service Worker also manages inventory, requisitions necessary supplies, monitors production logs, and enforces all company and correctional facility standards.
This position requires a proactive and independent approach, excellent judgment, and effective communication and leadership skills to motivate and manage inmate workers effectively. Due to the nature of the correctional environment, candidates must be able to secure and maintain a correctional facility security clearance, adhere to safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment, and be capable of handling physical demands such as lifting, bending, and extended periods of walking or standing.
Working with Aramark in a correctional setting offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to food service operations in a secure facility while supporting community and organizational goals. Aramark's commitment to employee growth, workplace inclusion, and operational excellence make this a dynamic role for professionals seeking to develop their supervisory skills and food service expertise within a structured and impactful environment. The company supports continuous learning and skill development aligning with its values of service, teamwork, and positive impact.
