The Food Service Worker position at Trinity Services Group is a full-time role offering a wage of $17.00 per hour and is designed for individuals passionate about food service within a correctional facility environment. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including first and second shifts with weekend and holiday availability, reflecting the dynamic nature of food service in institutional settings. The typical schedule includes first shift hours from 4:30 a.m. to 12:00 or 12:30 p.m., second shift hours from 11:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and alternating weekends where a double shift may be required. This schedule demands dependability and stamina, as the role involves standing for extended periods and engaging in physical activities such as lifting, bending, and walking.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Availability to work some weekends and holidays
- Ability to work first and second shift hours weekly including early mornings and evenings
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending

Job Duties
- Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions in a timely manner
- Clean as you go, maintain a neat and food safe workstation, pull trash, sweep, mop, and perform other duties assigned within the facility
- Serve food during planned meal schedules according to department policies and procedures
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook, prepare, and serve food according to recipes and portion guidelines
- Abide by all food safety regulations including sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Maintain a clean work area including cleaning refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment, and serving equipment
- Function in a fast-paced environment, perform routine kitchen tasks while being organized and clean
- Collect garbage and keep kitchen floors clean from excess food and trash
- Perform physical tasks as required such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Perform other related duties as assigned
