The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is critical to maintaining high standards in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices. This position supports the manager with various responsibilities including food and meal preparation, maintaining cash receipts and meal records, and assisting with daily reporting. The role demands a hands-on approach in preparing quality food items, ensuring proper storage and sanitation, and adhering strictly to food safety regulations. The Food Service Worker plays an essential role in ensuring that meals are served according to schedules and standards, contributing directly to customer satisfaction through the presentation, garnishment, and consistency of food offerings.

This position involves coordinating with the manager daily to prepare menus accurately, overseeing food temperatures, using kitchen equipment responsibly, and maintaining clean and organized workspaces. The role also encompasses duties such as cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas and equipment, managing garbage properly, and following company uniform and personal protective equipment policies. The physical demands of the role may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking or standing, making it suitable for individuals prepared for an active and dynamic kitchen environment.

Job Duties

  • prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
