The Foodservice Support Representative plays a critical role within Core-Mark’s operational framework by advancing the company's foodservice initiatives within the convenience retail channel. This position acts as a vital bridge between the sales team and customers, ensuring that foodservice programs are promoted and executed effectively to enhance client offerings. The representative educates and advises both current and prospective customers about entering the foodservice business or improving existing programs to maximize their profitability and efficiency. This role requires an individual who possesses strong leadership qualities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proactive approach to brand advocacy. As a Foodservice Ambassador, the representative champions all private brand sales, marketing efforts, and foodservice promotions to build enduring relationships with customers and suppliers.
This position is based in Omaha, Nebraska, and Western Iowa, covering a territory that extends into North Dakota and Northwest Minnesota. It requires daily travel, including occasional overnight stays, indicating a dynamic work schedule that supports key business operations. The role includes a flexible Monday through Friday work schedule, from 7 am to 4 pm, to meet the business's needs. Core-Mark provides company vehicles and a monthly cell phone stipend to facilitate day-to-day responsibilities. The Foodservice Support Representative is tasked with facilitating the implementation of new and existing food programs, conducting in-field training and consultations, developing menus and recipes, managing demonstrations, and supporting the sales team in executing brand strategies. Participation in regional trade shows and sales meetings is also a vital component of this position, fostering collaborative engagement and ongoing professional development. This comprehensive role is designed for professionals with a minimum of two years of experience in the foodservice industry or related fields, demonstrating an ability to manage customer relationships and contribute to business growth effectively.

- Minimum of 2 years working experience in foodservice industry through food brokerage, food equipment sales, or chef background
- Minimum of 2 years of customer-facing sales experience and project management
- Ability to travel daily within assigned territory including occasional overnight stays
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word

Job Duties
- Facilitate implementation of new and existing food programs including training demonstrations and menu development
- Provide in-field training and consultation recommending foodservice growth strategies around new product information and merchandising
- Maintain and update knowledge of food service products, practices, and trends
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal partners
- Conduct weekly field visits with suppliers and sales teams to identify opportunities and present Core-Mark food service programs
- Participate in regional trade shows for food-related initiatives
- Manage food and beverage cutting/demonstrations both on-site and off-site including scheduling and preparing sample kits
- Present in sales meetings to build product sell-through strategy and execute business action plans
- Perform other related duties as assigned
