The Food Service Supervisor position at the University of Miami plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and smooth operations within an assigned cafeteria. This full-time role involves oversight of daily cafeteria activities and subordinate staff performance to align with departmental objectives. Job Duties
- Supervises the handling of all cash transactions and charges according to established policies and procedures

- Assures supplies and food items are replenished and sustains inventory for daily operations
- Assists service staff during mealtime and greets residents and guests
- Oversees that all set up and breakdown procedures for food and equipment are maintained
- Communicates and enforces safety regulations
- Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures
- Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures
