Opportunities for professional growth and development are strongly encouraged within the organization, making it a dynamic workplace for healthcare professionals and support staff alike.

The Food Service Supervisor position at Baptist Health plays a crucial role within the Hospital Food Service Unit, which is dedicated to preparing and delivering nutritious, balanced meals tailored to the needs of patients, visitors, and staff. The unit ensures that meals comply with dietary guidelines and accommodate specific medical needs such as low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, and gluten-free diets. This role not only supports patient recovery by providing proper nutrition but also oversees cafeteria operations and catering services for hospital events, enhancing the overall experience for hospital visitors and employees. The food service team includes chefs, dietitians, and food service workers who collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to optimize nutritional outcomes.

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will supervise, coordinate, train, and counsel food service employees, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the department. Ensuring food safety and sanitation standards is a key responsibility, along with maintaining high-quality food preparation and service standards. In addition to direct supervision, this role involves performing or overseeing various cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold sanitary conditions. The supervisor interacts directly with both employees and visitors, making effective communication skills essential. This full-time, first-shift position offers an opportunity to be part of a compassionate, patient-focused team within a supportive healthcare environment. With benefits that include tuition assistance, paid parental leave, and generous paid time off, Baptist Health provides a holistic package that promotes both professional and personal well-being.
