The current opening is for a Food Service Staff Cook position that entails preparing, cooking, and assembling hot breakfast items, baking cookies, and handling hot a la carte food services. This is a full-time, ten-month position that runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:15 pm, reporting directly to the Food Service Manager. The role is classified as non-exempt, with responsibilities centered around commercial cooking practices in volume preparation following standardized recipes and strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
As a Cook Support, the successful candidate performs essential duties such as preparing hot breakfast and a la carte dishes, baking, maintaining cleanliness, washing dishes, and assisting in the overall kitchen and cafeteria upkeep. This role requires not only technical proficiency in food preparation and sanitation but also the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a team-oriented workplace. The position demands a reliable individual who upholds the values and policies of Lakeland Christian School, maintaining a professional demeanor and ensuring a clean and safe food service environment.

Job Duties
- Uphold and ensure compliance of all LCS policies and procedures
- maintain a professional appearance
