The Food Service Shift Leader at TXB is a vital role that supports the store management team by ensuring smooth operations during their shift. This role involves overseeing a variety of store-level tasks across several departments including food preparation, customer service, cashier responsibilities, general housekeeping, and ensuring all sanitation and food safety policies are adhered to. The role is designed to deliver an exceptional customer experience that aligns with the company’s purpose to "Leave 'em Better." As a shift leader, individuals are responsible for leading and supervising team members by example, providing training on company policies and practices, and maintaining consistent store operation standards. The shift leader is empowered to take charge in the absence of the Food Service Manager and is expected to uphold the highest standards of customer service, safety, quality, and team collaboration. This position demands strong leadership, excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for both customer satisfaction and team development.
Additional responsibilities include greeting guests, preparing and serving menu items such as tacos, chicken, and sides according to customer specifications, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, replenishing supplies, and supporting marketing programs at the store level. The shift leader must be adept at operating various food production equipment like grills, broilers, and deep-fat fryers while adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.

Job Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis

Job Qualifications
- Customer relationship experience
- Successful completion of on-the-job training
- Patience and expertise in conducting training
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate multiple devices
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Understanding of register systems, troubleshooting, and back office software
Job Duties
- Lead and supervise food service team members during shifts
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and food safety regulations
- Operate cooking and food preparation equipment including grills, broilers, and deep-fat fryers
- Provide excellent customer service including greeting customers and offering menu information
- Train team members on company policies, procedures, and food handling standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, dishes, and kitchen areas
- Oversee store operations in the absence of the Food Service Manager
