We are currently seeking a Food Service Dishwasher to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be essential in keeping our kitchen operating smoothly by efficiently handling dishwashing duties involving dishes, pots, and pans. Beyond the cleaning responsibilities, this position offers the exciting opportunity to contribute to food preparation tasks such as baking delightful goods including cookies, cakes, and breads. Under the guidance of our Store Manager, you will also help prepare tasty Panini sandwiches, adding variety and creativity to your workday. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy a mix of hands-on kitchen work and customer interaction, as you will also be engaging positively with our guests to enhance their experience. With a focus on maintaining cleanliness, adhering to proper sanitization procedures, and assisting with inventory and deliveries, this position offers a comprehensive introduction to the fast-paced food service industry.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or currently pursuing one
  • Ability to complete CBC driver training and maintain a valid driver's license with insurance
  • State Foodhandler card or ServSafe certification as required
  • At least 3 months of experience in a guest service role, preferably in a restaurant or retail environment
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Understanding of English

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean dishes, pots, and pans
  • Utilize cleaning chemicals effectively, primarily sanitizers and soaps
  • Follow cleaning procedures accurately to ensure a hygienic environment
  • Assist with the preparation of food items
  • Provide friendly interactions with guests while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Help with receiving, checking in, and organizing deliveries and ingredients
  • Serve as a serving attendant when required
  • Assist with custodial duties as needed
  • Bus tables to maintain cleanliness
  • Conduct light maintenance tasks as assigned
