As part of SSA Group’s innovative food service team at Hogle Zoo, Food Service Cooks will play a critical role in supporting the success of the zoo’s popular seasonal events. The role is designed to help maintain smooth back-of-house and line operations by preparing food and ensuring availability, quality, safety, and excellent guest service. Working closely with kitchen managers, sous chefs, and executive chefs, successful candidates will help uphold the company’s high standards of food service during peak event periods.

This part-time seasonal position starts in late September and requires availability especially during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, including Christmas and Thanksgiving when holiday pay applies. The role demands flexibility in a fast-paced and high-volume environment while promoting teamwork, professionalism, and a passion for friendly customer interactions. Physical stamina is important as duties include standing for extended periods and handling food and supplies weighing 10-35 pounds.
