Job Description
Sprint Food Stores is a well-established retail food service company known for providing high-quality food products and excellent customer service in various locations. Their stores often operate 24 hours, catering to a wide range of customers who seek convenient and fresh food options at all times. The company is committed to maintaining a welcoming store environment that promotes teamwork, guest satisfaction, and adherence to company values. Sprint Food Stores prides itself not only on the food it serves but also on the strong relationships built between team members and guests. Employees are encouraged to engage actively with guests to ensure an enjoyable and seamless experience while shopping or dining. Sprint Food Stores offers both part-time and full-time employment opportunities, with working hours that include day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts, adapting to the needs of each store’s operation schedule. The work environment within the stores is dynamic and energy-driven, often requiring employees to multitask and respond quickly to different duties, all while maintaining food safety and store cleanliness standards. Physical demands are a part of the job, with regular lifting and standing required, along with the ability to work efficiently in cold storage areas and high-traffic retail settings. Store associates are integral to the success of the company, contributing to day-to-day operations that uphold the company’s reputation for quality and service.
The Food Service Associate, working under the Retail Store Manager, plays a critical role in welcoming guests, preparing and presenting food, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. This role requires a person who is energetic, outgoing, and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced food operations environment. The Food Service Associate’s primary responsibility is to prepare high-quality food quickly and efficiently, ensuring that all food served is safe, properly labeled, and presented attractively. The associate must follow all recipes and food preparation procedures meticulously to meet company standards and regulatory guidelines.
In addition to food preparation, this role involves direct interaction with guests, greeting them warmly and providing efficient checkout service where applicable. Operating the register accurately and professionally contributes to a smooth guest experience by minimizing wait times. The position also includes monitoring product levels throughout the store, ensuring that coolers and hot food cases are stocked to meet guest demand continuously. The Food Service Associate leads by example, promoting company values, programs, and policies, and assists the Store Manager with operational duties as needed. The role demands flexibility in schedule and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in varied temperature environments, including cold storage. A background in retail or restaurant guest service is preferred, and a food safety certification like ServSafe is a plus but not mandatory. Soft skills such as high energy, effective communication, teamwork, and computer skills enhance the associate’s effectiveness in this role. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, guest-focused individual seeking to develop their skills in food service and retail operations within a growing company.
