The Food Server/Utility Worker role is a pivotal position within Jane Foods Inc., integral to maintaining the high standards of food service and customer satisfaction the company is known for. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage starting from $14.00, and it typically operates Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 1:30 pm. The role is staffed in person and involves serving food accurately, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that customers receive excellent service throughout their dining experience. The Food Server/Utility Worker not only manages food service duties such as stocking salad bars, drink stations, and serving lines but also handles critical sanitation and organization tasks required in a fast-paced food service environment. This position requires a professional demeanor combined with exceptional customer service skills, as the Food Server/Utility Worker frequently interacts with guests, co-workers, and management. Job Duties
- Serves customers as they come through the cafeteria line
- stocks containers, salad bar, maintains drink station area
- keeps up with trash, cardboard, and helps put up weekly trucks
- maintains dishes and keeps areas clean, neat, and organized
- greets and assists customers while anticipating their needs
- ensures security of company assets
- maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
- serves all customers in a respectable and timely manner
- properly stores and labels food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- sets up, keeps restocked, and organizes a serving line of food, condiments, silverware, paper goods
- breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes work stations
- restocks paper goods such as silverware, togo plates, cups
- helps cook/cashier with cleaning up serving line and resetting for next shift
- adheres to Jane Foods safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- maintains professional conduct at all times
- responsible for keeping kitchen prep areas clean, neat, and organized
- notifies manager of any quality or quantity issues/comments from customers
- performs other tasks as assigned
