The Food Server at Aramark plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations and ensuring an excellent dining experience. This position involves engaging in food and meal preparation, overseeing cash receipts, updating meal records, and assisting in daily report completion. The Food Server is also responsible for maintaining strict adherence to food production, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen environment. This role requires physical stamina due to tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods. Additionally, compliance with uniform standards and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory.
Key responsibilities of the Food Server include producing high-quality meals and baked goods based on established menus, accurately handling food storage to preserve quality, and distributing meals in accordance with predetermined schedules and policies. The role also involves skillfully using food preparation tools, ensuring efficient meal assembly, garnishing dishes for visual appeal, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in workspaces and storage areas. The Food Server must regularly sanitize equipment and surfaces to prevent contamination and support overall kitchen hygiene protocols such as sweeping, mopping, and waste management.

- compile a daily update to authenticate transactions and record meal arrangements
- check for the presence of all necessary meal components
- store food accurately to preserve flavor and nutrients
- distribute meals to diners according to prescribed schedules and policies
- operate and maintain food preparation tools, especially cutting tools
- ensure efficient and timely assembly of food items and beverages
- enhance dishes with garnishing to improve presentation and customer satisfaction
- assist with cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen facilities
- comply with food safety legislation including sanitation, handling, and storage guidelines
- adhere to uniform policies
- coordinate with manager daily to understand and execute the day’s menu
- monitor food temperatures for safety
- keep work and storage areas clean and organized
- regularly sanitize workspaces and tools
