The Food Server role is a critical position within our restaurant, designed for individuals who are passionate about customer service and efficient in handling dining operations. The server acts as the liaison between the kitchen and our guests, ensuring that all dining requests are met promptly and with care. This role demands a positive and accommodating attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards of service. Responsibilities include informing guests about menu items and specials, accurately describing preparation methods, attending to special dietary requests, and upselling to maximize revenue. Serving standards are precise and courteous, ensuring each guest feels valued.

Pre- and post-shift duties like station stocking and coffee preparation are integral to this position, reflecting the importance of preparation and cleanliness. The server also handles payment processes effectively by collaborating with the cashier. Responding swiftly to guest requests and feedback helps improve service quality and guest satisfaction. Additionally, supporting roles like greeter, cashier, and bus person may occasionally be required, emphasizing teamwork. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food service role is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good physical stamina for standing and walking during shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Prior server experience
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale systems such as Toast is a plus

Job Duties

  • Radiates a positive and accommodating attitude while interacting with customers
  • Becomes informed of kitchen and food shortages and relays the shortages to guests when necessary
  • Becomes informed of daily and weekly specials and is able to explain all menu items and methods of cooking and preparation to the customers as requested
  • Describes all menu items, methods of preparation and prices as needed and or requested by customers
  • Ensures that any special requests that the kitchen is able to deliver for the guest are indeed met
  • Up-sells established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues
  • Serves menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner and according to established service standards
