The Food Server role at Aramark is a critical position within their food service operations. This role supports the management team by engaging in various aspects of food and meal preparation, overseeing cash receipts, and maintaining accurate meal records. The Food Server ensures daily completion of reports and compliance with kitchen food production, sanitation, and safety standards. Key responsibilities include preparing meals and baked goods according to the menu, performing quality checks on meal components, and ensuring proper food storage to preserve flavor and nutrients. The role also involves distributing meals following established schedules, operating food preparation tools responsibly, and maintaining workspace cleanliness and organization.

Beyond the culinary responsibilities, Food Servers assist with refrigeration and kitchen facility cleaning, adhere to food safety legislation, and comply with uniform policies. Collaboration with management in understanding and executing the daily menu is essential. Monitoring food temperatures, sanitizing workspaces, and managing waste are also crucial duties to maintain food safety and kitchen orderliness. The role requires physical exertion, such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Observance of uniform standards and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory when required.

This position demands a Food Service Certification and a satisfactory level of education or training that enables the individual to follow written and verbal instructions effectively. The ideal candidate performs effectively under pressure, demonstrating quick and accurate task completion even in challenging situations. A high school diploma or equivalent certification is preferred. Job Duties

  • Produce top-tier meals and baked goods following a predetermined menu
  • Compile a daily update to authenticate transactions and record meal arrangements
  • Understand what constitutes a complete meal and check for the presence of all necessary components
  • Store food accurately to preserve flavor and nutrients
  • Distribute meals to diners in accordance with prescribed meal schedules and policies
  • Operate and maintain food preparation tools, especially cutting tools
  • Ensure efficient and timely assembly of various food items and beverages
  • Enhance the visual appeal of meals by incorporating garnishes
  • Assist with cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen facilities
  • Abide by all legislation concerning food safety, including sanitation procedures, food handling, and storage
  • Adhere to the uniform policy requirements
  • Liaise daily with management to understand and execute the menu
  • Monitor food temperatures to ensure safety
  • Keep work and storage areas clean and organized
  • Regularly sanitize workspaces such as steam tables, surfaces, and tools
  • Complete general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of garbage collection sites and kitchen floors
  • Complete additional responsibilities as needed including supporting other kitchen zones
