The role of Food Server at Walnut Village Retirement Community is a vital position within the dining services department, focused on enhancing the dining experience for residents and visitors. This part-time position is available Wednesday through Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a competitive pay range of $19.00 to $21.00 per hour. Working under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager, Food Servers are responsible for providing excellent customer service by interacting warmly with residents, families, and staff, ensuring that every meal experience is enjoyable and efficient. The role involves a variety of duties including preparing tables, presenting menus, assisting with food and drink selections, and communicating specific guest needs to kitchen staff. Servers also contribute to maintaining cleanliness standards and safety protocols within the dining area.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of food service or related experience, possess a Food Handlers' certification, and have a basic understanding of food preparation and service. Knowledge of current menu choices and the ability to suggest dishes confidently are important aspects of this role. Additionally, Food Servers at Walnut Village are expected to be flexible, capable of assisting with special events, filling in for absent staff, and maintaining a positive and attentive demeanor at all times.
