Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service is an advantage
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capability to lift, bend, push, and pull as part of job duties
  • Willingness to adhere to uniform and personal protective equipment policies
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Qualifications

  • Food service certification
  • Satisfactory education or training enabling interpretation, writing, and tracking of verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • High school diploma or similar certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Produce top-tier meals and baked goods following a predetermined menu
  • Compile a daily update to authenticate transactions and record meal arrangements
  • Understand what constitutes a complete meal and check for the presence of all necessary components
  • Store food accurately to preserve flavor and nutrients
  • Distribute meals to diners in accordance with prescribed meal schedules and policies
  • Operate and care for food preparation tools, especially cutting tools
  • Ensure efficient and timely assembly of various food items and beverages
  • Enhance visual appeal of dishes by incorporating garnishes
  • Help with cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen facilities
  • Abide by all food safety legislation including sanitation and storage guidelines
  • Adhere to uniform policy requirements
  • Liaise daily with management to understand and execute the day’s menu
  • Monitor food temperatures for safety
  • Keep work and storage areas organized and clean
  • Regularly sanitize workspaces and tools to prevent contamination
  • Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of waste collection sites and kitchen floors
  • Complete supplementary tasks as needed including backing up operations in different kitchen zones
