Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • food service certification required
  • ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods
  • adherence to uniform policy and use of personal protective equipment when necessary
  • strong communication skills to coordinate daily with management
  • ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures precisely
  • capacity to work efficiently under pressure and maintain accuracy
  • willingness to assist with general cleaning and upkeep of kitchen facilities

Job Qualifications

  • Food service certification
  • satisfactory education or training enabling interpretation, writing, and tracking of verbal and written guidance
  • ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • high school diploma or similar certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Produce top-tier meals and baked goods following a predetermined menu
  • compile a daily update to authenticate transactions and record meal arrangements
  • understand what constitutes a complete meal and check for the presence of all necessary components
  • store food accurately to preserve flavor and nutrients
  • distribute meals to diners in accordance with prescribed meal schedules and policies
  • operate and maintain food preparation tools, especially cutting tools
  • ensure efficient and timely assembly of various food items and beverages
  • enhance the visual appeal of culinary creations by incorporating garnishes
  • assist with cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen facilities
  • abide by food safety legislation including sanitation procedures, food handling, and storage guidelines
  • adhere to uniform policy requirements
  • liaise daily with the manager to understand and execute the day's menu
  • monitor food temperatures to keep items at optimal safety levels
  • keep work and storage areas clean and organized
  • regularly sanitize workspaces such as steam tables, surfaces, and tools
  • complete general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes
  • maintain cleanliness and orderliness of garbage collection sites and kitchen floors
  • complete supplementary tasks including backing up operations in different kitchen zones
