Job Requirements

  • Must complete or be willing to complete a sanitation course
  • Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stressful situations
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • Previous experience in food service supervision preferred

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies
  • Ensure food items are stored safely and hazard-free
  • Maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served per menu specifications
  • Maintain sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate inventory weekly
  • Prepare orders as needed for accurate production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees
  • Counsel and promote employee growth and morale
  • Maintain safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor food service workers
  • Maintain maintenance logs for equipment
  • Ensure food safety/temperature logs are completed with corrective action
  • Perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • Recommend equipment replacement
  • Proficiency in multi-tasking
  • Perform duties requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees
  • Maintain knowledge of catering events and oversee timely preparation and delivery
  • Work occasional night and weekend catering events
