Job Description

Zuma is a contemporary Japanese restaurant collection that draws inspiration from the dynamic Izakaya dining style, embodying a rich culinary tradition within a modern and sophisticated setting. With venues located in some of North America's most iconic cities, including Miami, New York, Las Vegas, and Boston, Zuma has firmly established itself as a leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for delivering exceptional dining experiences that blend vibrant flavors, impeccable service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Each location contributes to the brand's reputation for excellence, showcasing a harmonious mix of artistry and precision in Japanese cuisine, particularly through its signature Robata grills. Being part of the esteemed Azumi collection, Zuma embraces a global vision, infusing each restaurant with originality, passion, and a commitment to elevating guest experiences to unprecedented levels.

As a Food Runner/Server Support at Zuma, you play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dining experience by providing essential assistance to the server team. This position is vital in supporting servers to deliver exceptional service to guests, which helps uphold Zuma's reputation for excellence and contributes to creating memorable dining moments. Duties include setting up and clearing tables, arranging table settings, refilling water glasses, and removing used dishes and utensils, all performed with precision and attention to detail. The Food Runner coordinates closely with both the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless timing of food and beverage service, guaranteeing that orders reach guests accurately and promptly.

Beyond logistical support, the role also emphasizes guest satisfaction through timely, attentive service, monitoring guest needs and promptly addressing any requests or concerns. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining areas is another critical responsibility, including sanitizing tables, chairs, and other surfaces, as well as keeping floors clean and safe. Additionally, this position involves replenishing supplies like utensils, napkins, condiments, and beverages to ensure servers are fully equipped to provide outstanding service.

Zuma values a team-oriented approach, fostering a community spirit energized by their core values: honoring mastery by celebrating perfection in every detail, treating others with warmth and openness, and embracing vibrancy and positivity throughout all interactions. This role is perfect for someone who shares a genuine love for culinary experience, a passion for Japanese cuisine, and thrives in a fast-paced high-end hospitality environment. Prior restaurant experience is necessary, as is flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Joining Zuma means becoming part of a world-renowned brand that offers not just a job but a career with opportunities for growth and international experience. With comprehensive training and a culture that celebrates every contribution, the Food Runner/Server Support role is a stepping stone for those passionate about hospitality and eager to advance within a prestigious global group.
