Job Description
Piedmont Driving Club, established in 1887, stands as one of Atlanta's most prestigious private clubs, known for its rich history, vibrant community, and exceptional service. Recognized as a Platinum Club of America, it proudly serves around 2,400 members across two elegant properties in the city. The Main Clubhouse, situated in the lively heart of Midtown Atlanta between the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Piedmont Park, offers a refined and welcoming atmosphere that caters to a diverse range of member activities including fine dining, racquet sports, swimming, fitness, and social gatherings. The club's commitment to excellence extends beyond its historic architecture and lavish amenities; it thrives because of its dedicated and passionate staff who create a warm, supportive environment that values each member and employee alike.
As a Food Runner/Buffet Attendant at Piedmont Driving Club, you will be an integral part of the vibrant food and beverage team, connecting the kitchen to the members and guests in a seamless and efficient manner. This seasonal, part-time role offers a competitive wage of $17.00 per hour and provides an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, service-oriented setting where your contributions make a significant impact. You will be primarily stationed poolside, where your friendly demeanor and attentive service will enhance the dining experience of members enjoying the club's recreational amenities.
Your responsibilities will include carrying food and beverages to the appropriate tables with precision and care, maintaining clean and organized bar and buffet areas, and preparing service stations with reliability and attention to detail. Exceptional customer service skills are essential as you will act as a liaison between the kitchen staff and the servers, ensuring smooth communication and service delivery. The role demands stamina, as you need to be on your feet for extended periods and able to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds in a warm, sometimes humid environment. Previous experience in a similar role, especially within country clubs or high-end hospitality settings, is preferred but not mandatory.
Joining the Piedmont Driving Club team means becoming part of a family that values professionalism, accountability, communication, quality, and teamwork—the core values that drive the club’s mission to build upon its richest traditions through outstanding service and community engagement. Employees benefit from a supportive work culture where they are recognized, respected, and empowered to grow personally and professionally. The club offers medical insurance with employer-subsidized premiums, weekly pay with emergency access to wages, complimentary parking, uniforms, and daily shift meals, fostering a positive and rewarding work environment.
This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, have a passion for hospitality, and enjoy delivering memorable service experiences. Whether you are launching your career in the hospitality industry or seeking a seasonal opportunity to showcase your skills, the Food Runner/Buffet Attendant position at Piedmont Driving Club offers a chance to work in one of Atlanta’s finest private clubs, where your effort will be valued and your growth supported. If you are ready to join a team that emphasizes connection, respect, and excellence, we encourage you to apply today and start a fulfilling journey with Piedmont Driving Club.
