Job Description
Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences and fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment. As a multinational company with a portfolio of renowned brands including Renaissance Hotels, Marriott International prides itself on delivering outstanding service, innovative solutions, and unforgettable stays for travelers worldwide. The company values its associates and cultures from all backgrounds, emphasizing equal employment opportunities and a workplace free from discrimination. With a focus on career development, Marriott offers employees numerous opportunities to grow, thrive, and achieve their full potential while upholding the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Renaissance Hotels, part of the Marriott portfolio, is dedicated to bringing the local spirit and unique cultural DNA of each destination to life for its guests. This brand encourages exploration and discovery, making every stay an adventure filled with authentic experiences. The role available is for an Experto de Servicio al Huésped (Guest Service Expert) located at the Renaissance hotel in Indian Wells, California. This full-time, non-management position offers an hourly wage of $17.40 and is ideal for someone with full availability who prefers working evening shifts.
The Experto de Servicio al Huésped is entrusted with much more than simply serving food; it is about creating memorable and unique dining experiences complemented by attentive beverage service. This role requires a proactive attitude to offering a range of services to enhance guest satisfaction. Responsibilities range from setting tables and assisting in kitchen operations to maintaining work areas and restocking supplies. The role demands consistent dedication to company guidelines, ensuring a safe workplace, high standards of food quality, and professionalism in appearance and communication. Physical demands include standing, walking, moving on uneven or slippery surfaces, occasional lifting of objects under 50 pounds without assistance, and performing various movements such as bending, stretching, and twisting.
This position does not require prior supervisory experience or licensing but values candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, such as a General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Previous experience in food service is not mandatory but considered advantageous. Marriott International strongly promotes an environment that respects and celebrates diversity and inclusivity. They also support applicants with criminal backgrounds in compliance with applicable laws.
Joining the Renaissance Hotels team means being part of a global family passionate about creating extraordinary guest stories and delivering unexpected experiences. Employees are encouraged to embody the brand's adventurous spirit and contribute to a vibrant workplace culture. This role provides an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy working in dynamic environments and seek to develop their skills within a leading hospitality brand. As part of Marriott International, employees receive the backing of a world-class company focused on growth, purpose, and excellence.
