The company prides itself on delivering exceptional experiences through a dynamic, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture. Located at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Delaware North has been providing premium concessions, dining, and retail services since 2010. Target Field, home to the Minnesota Twins baseball team, accommodates nearly 40,000 guests and offers a broad menu including chef-attended action stations, a carving station, and fan-favorite ballpark foods. This provides an exciting and fast-paced environment for hospitality professionals seeking career growth and development within a leading industry player.

The opportunity at Delaware North for a seasonal Food Runner position is an excellent entry point for individuals passionate about food service and guest satisfaction. This role is wage-based, offering $16.37 per hour, and is seasonal with shifts covering days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. As a Food Runner, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing guest experiences by ensuring prompt and accurate food delivery from the kitchen to patrons. The position demands strong teamwork skills as you will work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and servers to guarantee that all food is prepared and served efficiently and to the highest standards. The role also involves direct guest interaction, including explaining menu items and assisting in table-side service, which offers a valuable opportunity to develop communication skills and product knowledge.

Delaware North emphasizes employee development through comprehensive training and mentorship programs, helping team members build their careers while enjoying flexible schedules and a supportive environment. The company offers a competitive benefits package to seasonal team members, which includes weekly pay, employee discounts, and opportunities for advancement. Eligible employees may also receive health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid vacation and holidays, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and access to an employee assistance program. This comprehensive support reflects Delaware North’s commitment to the well-being and growth of its workforce.

The physical demands of the Food Runner position require stamina and agility, as the role involves constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 35 pounds. You must be able to maneuver efficiently through a dynamic venue environment to ensure timely service. Attention to detail about menu items and ingredients is crucial for maintaining excellent customer service standards. This job is ideal for candidates with at least one year of experience or training as a runner or busser in similar busy dining settings. Flexible availability is essential given the venue’s event-driven schedule and operating hours. Being part of Delaware North means joining a family-owned global leader dedicated to shaping the future of hospitality, fostering a workplace that values diversity, inclusion, and career development across numerous exciting venues worldwide.
