The role available is for a Food Runner, a vital member of the hospitality team responsible for supporting the waitstaff by efficiently delivering beverages and meals to the designated tables. This position requires an individual who is detail-focused, organized, and able to maintain composure under pressure while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards. It is a dynamic role that demands excellent communication skills, multitasking capabilities, and a professional attitude to enhance the guests' dining experience.

The Food Runner plays an essential role in assisting customers with their orders by explaining specials and making recommendations, ensuring that all dietary requirements such as allergies are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff. In addition to delivering food in a timely and accurate manner, the Food Runner helps set up and clear tables, ensuring all settings are appropriate and clean, thereby maintaining the establishment's high standards of hospitality and presentation.

This position supports the overall guest experience by regularly checking in with patrons to handle any requests or concerns promptly, conveying any necessary feedback to management to continually improve service quality. With the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, pressured environment, the ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for hospitality and a strong respect for the kitchen hierarchy while contributing to a team-oriented workplace.

The salary range for this role is $14.25 to $22.50 per hour plus tips, reflecting the importance of dependable, skilled individuals in maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence. Job Duties

  • assist customers with their orders by explaining specials, meals, and drinks and make recommendations
  • deliver food orders to a variety of customers in a timely manner
  • accurately explain food orders to chefs, with specific attention to allergies and special requests
  • help the wait staff set up tables by placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils, decorations, and napkins
  • uphold our food health safety and sanitation principles
  • occasionally check on customers to handle any impromptu requests or issues
  • remove dirty dishes from the table
  • inform management of customer feedback
  • deliver food orders to customers quickly and accurately
  • uphold sanitation and food safety principles
  • bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash
  • check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory
  • relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties
  • ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food
  • assist setting up tables before service with appropriate utensils, napkins and decorations
  • handle various impromptu requests from customers
