Job Description

Chili's Grill & Bar is a renowned chain of casual dining restaurants that originated in Dallas, Texas, in 1975. Over the decades, it has become a household name recognized for its signature offerings such as Big Mouth burgers, house-smoked ribs, sizzling fajitas, and hand-shaken margaritas. Chili's prides itself on delivering a vibrant dining experience that combines flavorful food with exceptional service and hospitality. The brand’s deep-rooted commitment to customer satisfaction and community engagement has positioned it as a leader in the casual dining industry. Known for a lively atmosphere, a diverse menu, and dedication to the guest experience, Chili's has expanded nationwide and continues to uphold its legacy of quality and welcoming environments.

The role of a Food Runner at Chili's is crucial in maintaining the smooth and enjoyable flow of service for guests. This position is typically full-time or part-time and offers hourly compensation starting at $6.05 plus tips, making it an excellent entry point for individuals eager to grow their careers in the hospitality and food service industry. Food Runners function as the backbone of the front-of-house operations, ensuring every guest’s dining experience is seamless from the kitchen to the table.

Food Runners at Chili's are responsible for delivering food and beverages swiftly and accurately while engaging warmly with guests. Their role goes beyond simply transporting orders; they create a memorable and customized service experience that reflects Chili’s dedication to hospitality. This position is ideally suited for energetic individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, understand the importance of teamwork, and share a genuine passion for food and guest satisfaction. The workflow requires coordination with servers and kitchen staff to ensure orders meet quality standards and reach tables promptly.

Chili's strongly encourages growth from within, often hiring food runners who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and providing pathways for promotion, such as moving into waiter or server roles. Food Runners need to have a positive attitude, quick thinking skills, and the ability to keep tables clean and ready for guests by clearing dishes and glassware efficiently. The role also demands availability during varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of a dynamic restaurant setting.

In addition to competitive pay and tip earnings, Chili's offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including health, dental, and life insurance. The restaurant fosters a strong team culture centered around mutual respect and support, making it an inviting place for those passionate about delivering great hospitality.
