Job Description

Hotel Lucile is an upcoming 25-room boutique hotel located in the vibrant community of Silver Lake, Los Angeles. Set within a historic 1931 church, the property uniquely blends preserved architectural details such as original stained glass windows, soaring wood beams, and a choir loft with contemporary amenities including a restaurant, bar, rooftop, pool, and gym. This landmark property aims to offer guests not just accommodation but a rich cultural experience through rotating art exhibitions and community events that connect visitors and locals alike. As the newest addition to Casetta's growing portfolio of hospitality destinations, Hotel Lucile promises a warm, welcoming environment that feels like a second home for both travelers and neighborhood residents.

Casetta is a hospitality brand dedicated to revitalizing buildings with distinctive histories located in meaningful destinations. Each Casetta property reflects its own unique personality through thoughtful design, carefully curated food and beverage offerings, and authentic community engagement. The company values principles such as "A Warm Welcome," "Proximity as Priority," and "Leave it Better," ensuring guests feel a consistent and exceptional experience across all locations, whether they are visiting an urban hotel in Los Angeles or a coastal retreat in Malibu. Casetta's portfolio includes Casa Cody in Palm Springs, The Pearl Hotel in San Diego, and several others, with Hotel Lucile set to open in late summer 2026.

The Food Runner role at Hotel Lucile plays a vital part in supporting the seamless operations of the restaurant and food and beverage department. This position reports to the Restaurant General Manager, CDC (Chef de Cuisine), and Sous Chef. Food Runners are responsible for efficiently delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests, supporting waitstaff, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate service. The hourly wage is $23, reflecting the company’s commitment to competitive compensation.

This role is available for both part-time and full-time employment, which offers flexibility for candidates seeking various work arrangements. Full-time employees enjoy comprehensive benefits such as 401k with company match, health, dental, and vision insurance, holiday pay, paid vacation, maternity and paternity leave, leadership development opportunities, and travel perks including discounts at hotel properties within the Casetta portfolio.

Hotel Lucile is actively building its opening team and seeks enthusiastic, dependable individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to creating an extraordinary guest experience. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in your ability to provide excellent service while working collaboratively with a dynamic team, this Food Runner position offers a rewarding opportunity to grow professionally within a celebrated hospitality brand. Candidates can expect an engaging workplace culture centered on respect, innovation, and a shared dedication to excellence.
