  • Prior experience as a food runner, expediter, or in a similar restaurant role is a plus but not required
  • Willingness to learn and be trained

Job Duties

  • Acting as the last line of defense for quality control by checking each plate for accuracy, presentation, and temperature before it leaves the kitchen
  • Organizing and prioritizing dishes coming off the line to ensure complete orders are sent out together in a timely manner
  • Efficiently and safely running hot and cold food items from the kitchen to the correct tables in the dining room
  • Relaying important information about dietary restrictions, special requests, and timing of orders between kitchen staff and front-of-house team
  • Assisting with plating, adding garnishes, and ensuring all necessary condiments or utensils accompany each dish
  • Maintaining a clean and organized expo line and pass-through area, including light cleaning duties as needed
  • Collaborating seamlessly with restaurant leadership, cooks, servers, and bussers to ensure smooth and efficient service flow
