Job Description
The hiring establishment is a fine dining restaurant dedicated to providing exceptional culinary experiences to its guests. Renowned for its commitment to quality and service excellence, this restaurant offers a sophisticated ambiance paired with a diverse menu crafted by expert chefs. The establishment prides itself on maintaining a seamless operation between the Front of House and Back of House teams, ensuring every guest enjoys a flawless dining experience. As part of its team, the restaurant emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, and a passion for hospitality, creating an environment where both employees and guests feel valued and respected.
The Food Runner position plays a crucial role within this fine dining environment. The Food Runner is responsible for the efficient and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, ensuring that each meal is presented with care and attention to detail. This role requires a deep understanding of the menu, including ingredients and potential allergens, so that guests can be informed about their choices and any dietary considerations. Acting as a key link between the kitchen staff and guests, the Food Runner helps maintain order accuracy by double-checking food tickets and matching them to guests before delivery.
In addition to food delivery, the Food Runner assists in maintaining an organized and clean expeditor space, contributes to daily and weekly cleaning routines, and supports the overall guest experience by answering menu-related questions and addressing any immediate needs. The role demands someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times. Dependability and teamwork are essential attributes, as the Food Runner must collaborate closely with both Front of House and Back of House teams to ensure smooth service flow.
Candidates for this role will typically have 1-2 years of experience in a fine dining setting, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a professional and welcoming dining environment. Physical stamina is also important, as the role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting items up to 30 pounds for extended periods. The ability to remain composed and professional, even in challenging situations, is crucial to providing a positive guest experience and upholding the standards of the restaurant.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the food and hospitality industry who seek to grow their careers within an esteemed fine dining establishment. Full-time and part-time employment options may be available, and candidates can expect a dynamic, fast-paced workplace where attention to detail and guest satisfaction are top priorities.
