Job Description

The Bartolotta Restaurants is a distinguished and nationally recognized restaurant and catering organization co-founded by renowned restaurateur Joe Bartolotta and his brother, two-time James Beard Award-winning Chef Paul Bartolotta. Established since 1993, this family-run enterprise has blossomed into the premier culinary brand within the Greater Milwaukee region. The company operates an impressive portfolio comprising 18 unique restaurants and catering venues, each offering first-class service and exquisite cuisine. Their commitment to excellence is evident not only in the quality of their food and services but also in their philanthropic endeavors through Care-a-lotta, a charitable program supporting numerous nonprofit organizations throughout Milwaukee.

At The Bartolotta Restaurants, the team members are considered part of an extended family, emphasizing a culture that values hospitality, team collaboration, and personal growth. The company prides itself on fostering an environment where passion meets professionalism, encouraging individuals with a "hospitality heart" — a commitment to serving guests with excellence and showcasing a positive, can-do attitude.

The Food Runner position at The Bartolotta Restaurants plays an integral role in maintaining the fast-paced and energetic environment typical of the restaurant industry. This position is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations by delivering food from the kitchen promptly and accurately to customers, supporting servers, and assisting in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the dining areas. The Food Runner acts as a vital link between the kitchen staff and guests—greeting patrons warmly, accommodating special guest requests, and supporting other team members as needed. This role requires attentiveness, efficiency, and a positive demeanor to uphold the high standards synonymous with the Bartolotta brand.

Working as a Food Runner in this esteemed restaurant allows individuals to engage directly in an environment that values excellent guest service, teamwork, and operational excellence. The role demands someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal communication, a focus on teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Those in this capacity also contribute to ensuring a clean and safe work environment, stock essential items such as glassware and flatware continuously, and participate in side work tasks before, during, and after shifts.

Joining The Bartolotta Restaurants means more than just taking a job; it means becoming part of a legacy defined by culinary innovation, community involvement, and genuine hospitality. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop professionally by working alongside world-class mentors who provide hands-on training and career development support. In addition, team members benefit from a comprehensive benefits package that supports their personal and professional lives, including medical, dental, vision insurance, and other valuable perks.

If you are passionate about hospitality and excellence, enjoy working in an energetic atmosphere, and want to contribute to a celebrated family-run company dedicated to its team and community, The Bartolotta Restaurants’ Food Runner role could be the perfect fit for you.
