The Food Runner's primary responsibility is to ensure that food orders are delivered quickly and accurately from the kitchen to guests' tables, upholding the high standards of Gibsons Restaurant Group. A Food Runner must have complete knowledge of the menu to verify that dishes are accurate, well presented, and served at the appropriate temperature. This role requires close communication with both kitchen staff and wait staff to prioritize orders correctly and assist in the final dish preparation stages when needed. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work station throughout shifts is essential to ensure efficiency and safety. Food Runners also help wait staff by carrying trays and providing general support to guarantee guests receive prompt and attentive service. Moreover, the individual in this role must adhere to company and equipment standards while embracing a neat and professional appearance. The ability to perform assigned opening and closing side work is expected, underscoring the comprehensive responsibility the Food Runner holds in supporting daily restaurant operations.
