The role of a Food Runner at Duffy's is critical in delivering exceptional dining service. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Food Runner assists servers and bartenders by expediting food orders from the kitchen to the guests promptly and accurately. This position requires a proactive, energetic individual who can handle various responsibilities ranging from cleaning and restocking to occasional expo duties such as dessert preparation and order ticketing. The Food Runner ensures that tables are well supplied and that food presentation meets the restaurant's standards by garnishing and positioning food items attractively. Job Duties

  • Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning
  • Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash
  • Maintain adequate supplies of items needed throughout the shift such as ice, plates, glasses, and sauces
  • Locate items requested by guests
  • Perform serving, cleaning, or stocking duties
  • Carry completed orders from kitchen to tables or bar for guests
  • Clean counters, shelves, walls, or equipment in food service areas
