This Full-Time, Non-Management position is based at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Sunny Isles located at 15701 Collins Ave, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The role focuses on supporting the food and beverage operations by performing essential closing duties that ensure the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the work areas for the next day. The position plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards and the “Gold Standards” that The Ritz-Carlton is famed for. Employees in this role help uphold the company’s core values including exceptional customer service, attention to detail, professionalism, and teamwork.
As a valued member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for completing all closing duties such as properly storing reusable goods, breaking down and cleaning equipment and workspaces, securing refrigerators and doors, restocking items, and following daily cleaning checklists. The position also involves setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas throughout the shift, along with ensuring that all china, glassware, and silverware are clean and presented according to company standards prior to use. Clean-as-you-go practices are highly encouraged to maintain cleanliness throughout the day.
Safety and security are important priorities, requiring adherence to company policies and procedures. The employee is expected to report any accidents, unsafe conditions, or injuries to management and complete required safety training and certifications. The role requires a professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards as well as the maintenance of confidentiality regarding proprietary information and protection of company assets.
Providing excellent guest service is fundamental, and employees must welcome and acknowledge all guests warmly and in accordance with company standards. Clear and professional communication, including telephone etiquette, is essential to effectively work with guests and team members. Developing positive working relationships is also important to foster a cooperative environment and support team goals. The role includes standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods during shifts and may involve physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as navigating uneven or slippery surfaces.
Although no prior work experience or supervisory experience is required for this role, a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. Job Duties
- Complete closing duties including storing reusable goods, breaking down and cleaning equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, completing daily cleaning checklist
- Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
- Inspect cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to use
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals
