Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs for extended periods
- carry and balance multiple dishes, trays, and service items simultaneously
- comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, conditions, noise levels, and exposure to hot kitchen equipment
- required to maintain energy, focus, and professionalism during peak service periods
- availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and high-occupancy periods
- strong work ethic and commitment to exceptional guest service
Job Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus
- training provided

- excellent communication skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- ability to successfully complete all required training, including Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certification (or obtain upon hire)
Job Duties
- Deliver meals promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation, temperature, and plating meet MacArthur Place luxury standards
- coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service flow and timely delivery of all food items
- engage courteously with guests, answer menu questions, make suggestions, and ensure dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests are handled appropriately
- respond promptly to guest inquiries and support servers by delivering additional condiments, utensils, beverages, or other guest requests
- assist with tray assembly, table setups, and service for special events, banquets, or room service
- maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tables, and service stations
- restock trays, utensils, condiments, and supplies
- follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen-handling guidelines to ensure guest safety and regulatory compliance
- monitor the dining environment for safety hazards, including spills, hot plates, or obstacles, and take corrective action
- perform pre-shift duties, including setting up stations, preparing trays/utensils, checking supplies, and ensuring the dining area is ready for service
- perform post-shift duties, including cleaning service areas, storing supplies, restocking for the next shift, and assisting with inventory checks
- collaborate with team members during peak service periods to ensure timely delivery and a seamless guest experience
- maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor at all times, adhering to grooming, uniform, and conduct standards
- follow timekeeping, attendance, meal, and rest break policies in accordance with California labor laws
- uphold MacArthur Place’s luxury service standards and commitment to hospitality excellence
