The Food Production Manager (Kitchen Manager) role at the Hospital University of Pennsylvania located in Philadelphia, PA is a key leadership position within Aramark Healthcare+. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Food Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations across multiple service points including patient feeding, front of house retail operations, and catering services. Job Requirements
- At least 2 years experience in a kitchen management role
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- SERV Safe certification or HACCP knowledge
- Experience with production systems
- Ability to manage food cost, safety and waste controls
- Strong leadership and training skills
- Healthcare experience preferred

Job Duties
- Manage production for 3 points of service including patient feeding, front of house retail operations and catering
- Manage food cost, food safety and waste controls
- Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise coordinate all related culinary activities
- Record inventory and estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- Ensure proper equipment operation maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- Oversee special catering events and offer culinary instruction or demonstrate culinary techniques
- Assist with managing patient feeding and retail operations as needed
