Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services. Renowned for delivering exceptional customer experiences, Aramark operates across various sectors including education, healthcare, business, sports, and leisure. The company is deeply committed to sustainability, diversity, equity, and inclusion, striving to create positive impacts for individuals, partners, communities, and the environment. Aramark fosters a workplace culture that promotes equal employment opportunities, ensuring every employee can thrive without discrimination based on race, gender, age, or other legally protected factors.
The Food Production Manager role at Aramark is a pivotal managerial position responsible for overseeing and executing dining options tailored precisely to customer preferences and requirements. This professional will supervise and manage dining facilities where patrons select cooked meals from a variety of options. The manager’s daily responsibilities center around team leadership, client relationship management, operational and financial performance, and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards. By leveraging Aramark’s well-established coaching model, the Food Production Manager plays a crucial role in engaging and developing team members, ensuring that both individual and team performance not only meet but exceed client expectations. Rewarding and recognizing employees to boost morale and productivity is also integral to this role.
A significant part of this position is to plan and lead daily team briefings which focus on operational updates, safety protocols, and quality assurance. This ensures the dining facilities consistently uphold Aramark’s operational excellence fundamentals, including stringent food and labor control initiatives. The Food Production Manager also manages client relationships, regularly identifying client needs and communicating operational progress clearly and effectively. Financial acumen is essential in completing and maintaining profit and loss (P&L) statements, ensuring that the dining services meet both client and company financial targets.
Maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation across all operations is non-negotiable. The Food Production Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees alike. This role requires attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards compliance and quality control. Candidates must be physically capable of handling tasks such as lifting, transporting, pushing, and tugging items weighing up to 50 pounds and standing for prolonged periods, reflecting the dynamic nature of the work environment.
Successful candidates will have at least one year of prior experience, with a preference for those holding a bachelor’s degree or possessing commensurate relevant experience. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for establishing and nurturing connections both with clients and internal departments to maintain a cohesive, smooth dining experience for all patrons. Demonstrating excellent customer service, aligned with Aramark’s established protocols, is key to success in this role. Ultimately, the Food Production Manager serves as a vital connector between clients, team members, and company objectives, ensuring every dining experience is exceptional and aligned with the brand’s promises.
