The Food Production Cook position at East Madison Hospital offers an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated culinary team in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. Working full-time, the role involves 10-hour shifts from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday, with every other weekend required, providing stability and structure in scheduling. The Food Production Cook is responsible for preparing hot and cold foods including entrees, sandwiches, soups, starches, vegetables, sauces, and desserts catering to general and modified diets. Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience in high volume food production setting
- ServSafe certification required within 6 months of hire
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts including days and evenings
- Availability to work every other weekend
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate's Degree in Culinary, Hospitality, or Nutrition preferred
- 1 year experience in high volume food production setting
- 2 years experience preferred
- ServSafe certification required within 6 months of hire
Job Duties
- Prepare large volumes of food with a high level of complexity, variety, and quality
