Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. The company proudly operates the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade brands, creating joyful and lasting memories for families and children through a focus on fun, food, and play. Chuck E. Cheese is famously known as the place "Where a Kid Can Be a Kid," emphasizing a safe, entertaining environment supported by programs such as Kid Check® and significant community involvement, including more than $24 million in donations to schools and nonprofits. In addition to being a pioneer in family entertainment, Chuck E. Cheese was awarded "Best in STEM" and recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in 2025, reflecting its leadership in innovation and employee well-being.
CEC Entertainment operates nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries. These venues provide quality food coupled with engaging entertainment, bringing families and communities together to celebrate fun and physical wellness for children. The company culture values diversity, inclusion, and creating environments where both employees and guests feel welcomed and supported.
The role being offered is for Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker positions, ideal for both first-time job seekers and those looking to grow within a fun, dynamic company. These roles are vital in delivering the culinary experience that supports the fun atmosphere in Chuck E. Cheese’s no-fry kitchen, which focuses on preparing pizzas, salads, and wings with easy food prep methods that avoid frying. Position holders are responsible for assisting with food preparation and maintaining a high standard of quality and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Compensation ranges from $15.92 to $16.92 per hour, with additional commission opportunities based on sales of Memberships and Fun Passes, paid bi-weekly. This commission structure varies for exempt and non-exempt employees, providing earning potential beyond hourly wages. A standout benefit is the "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access earned wages without delay between paychecks, enhancing financial flexibility and security.
This role requires energetic and enthusiastic individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Excellent customer service skills are essential as employees often interact directly with guests. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in repetitive tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting. The workplace environment may have flashing lights, mechanical parts, and loud noises, requiring resilience and adaptability.
CEC Entertainment is strongly committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, hiring individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and identities. The company does not discriminate on any federal, state, or local protected class basis and offers reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
Employees enjoy comprehensive benefits tailored to their employment status. All employees have access to telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program, tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may enroll in fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision plans, and voluntary life and short-term disability benefits. Full-time employees are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays, FSA/HSA options, life and disability insurance, and legal coverage. The company also ensures compliance with state and local laws by providing paid sick leave and other required benefits.
At CEC Entertainment, safety and health are top priorities, with rigorous health and sanitation standards designed to protect employees and guests. This environment fosters a positive, rewarding workplace for individuals looking to begin or advance their career in the hospitality and entertainment industry.
