Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, proudly operating the iconic Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck’s Arcade brands. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues spread across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC Entertainment creates joyful, lasting memories through fun, food, and play. The company is dedicated to being the best place for kids and families to eat and play, celebrating over half a million birthdays annually and fostering a culture where every family can unite through shared experiences. Known as the place Where a Kid Can Be a Kid®, Chuck E. Cheese emphasizes safety through initiatives such as the Kid Check® program and supports communities by donating more than $24 million to schools and nonprofits. The company is also committed to diversity and inclusion, actively fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for employees and guests alike. In 2025, Chuck E. Cheese was recognized with the Best in STEM award and named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces, highlighting its dedication to innovation and employee well-being.
The role of Food Prep, Cook, and Pizza Maker at Chuck E. Cheese offers an excellent opportunity for first-time job seekers or individuals looking to build an exciting career in the food service and entertainment industry. This position involves preparing menu items, assembling pizzas, and performing kitchen prep duties in a no-fry kitchen environment, focusing on pizzas, salads, and wings. Employees in this role are empowered through cross-training in various positions, providing a broad understanding of operations and opportunities for career advancement, with more than 60% of managers promoted from within the company. The work environment is dynamic and interactive, involving standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Furthermore, Chuck E. Cheese offers a unique "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, allowing employees to access earned wages quickly rather than waiting for the traditional bi-weekly paycheck. The compensation structure includes commission potentials for selling memberships and Fun Passes, varying slightly between exempt and non-exempt employees. This role also emphasizes excellent customer service, an energetic and enthusiastic personality, and the ability to work various shifts. As part of a team-focused environment, employees are expected to handle job stress effectively and communicate well with guests and co-workers.
CEC Entertainment provides a competitive benefits package designed to support employees nationwide. All team members have access to telemedicine, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee meal discounts, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may also enroll in fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental and vision options, and voluntary life and short-term disability benefits. Full-time employees averaging 29.5+ hours per week are eligible for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid sick/vacation time, paid holidays where applicable, FSA/HSA options, life and disability insurance, voluntary benefits, legal coverage, and education and student loan support. The company maintains rigorous health and sanitation standards to ensure the safety and health of guests and employees and makes reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. CEC Entertainment is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to reflecting the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of the guests they serve.
