Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food preparation or cooking
- certification or training in food safety and sanitation
- ability to follow safety protocols and maintain hygiene standards
- physical capability to perform manual handling and standing tasks
- effective communication skills
- willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cooking or a related position
- knowledge of fundamental principles of food preparation and different cooking methods
- understanding of food safety regulations including food handling, hygiene, and storage protocols
- certification or demonstrated compliance with food safety standards
- basic math skills and numerical counting proficiency
- strong interpersonal communication abilities both written and verbal
- ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of dishes according to set production guidelines and standardized recipes
- gather all necessary ingredients and equipment at the workstation
- measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items as part of ingredient preparation
- operate machinery such as baking ovens, stoves, slicing tools, and mixing devices
- employ cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming on various food items
- assemble, decorate, and portion food according to existing standards
