Known for its extensive food product selection, commitment to culinary excellence, and industry expertise, US Foods supports a broad spectrum of clients from independent restaurants to large national foodservice providers. Its relationship-driven culture emphasizes collaboration and innovation, helping drive customer success and satisfaction throughout the market.

The Food Fanatic Chef (FFC) role at US Foods is an exciting and dynamic position designed for culinary professionals passionate about connecting with customers and inspiring food culture growth. This role is integral to enhancing customer relationships while delivering culinary expertise that supports sales and business development objectives. The FFC collaborates closely with New Business Managers, sales leadership, and commercial excellence teams to cultivate meaningful relationships within the local and national restaurant communities.

In this position, the Food Fanatic Chef serves as both a culinary ambassador and a strategic partner. They leverage their culinary knowledge and skills to conduct kitchen assessments, present customized recipes, and provide expert guidance on product applications. The FFC actively engages in culinary demonstrations, training events, and sales meetings, driving the adoption of US Foods’ exclusive products and offerings. This role requires creativity and a deep understanding of culinary trends to proactively identify growth opportunities and inform leadership about emerging foodservice innovations.

Furthermore, the FFC plays a vital role in event coordination and execution, planning product samplings, sales conferences, and culinary training sessions that enrich customer experiences and reinforce brand loyalty. By collaborating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, merchandising, and regional culinary managers, the FFC ensures alignment on initiatives that support product mix adjustments and sales growth.

The Food Fanatic Chef is also an active contributor to the Food Fanatics program, participating in local, virtual, and national events while sharing best practices internally to elevate the program's impact across the enterprise. Effectively utilizing social and digital media, the FFC increases program awareness and engagement, working closely with marketing and communications professionals to maintain appropriate messaging aligned with company values.

This role calls for a seasoned culinary expert with at least seven years of relevant experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to train and inspire diverse audiences. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and be capable of managing high-profile events with organizational finesse. Physical stamina is necessary due to the role's frequent kitchen environment exposure and event execution demands.

The Food Fanatic Chef position offers the opportunity to lead culinary innovation and influence the foodservice market while being part of a vibrant team dedicated to driving excellence. This employment is typically full-time and provides a rewarding career path for culinary professionals seeking to expand their skills and impact within a supportive and forward-thinking company.
