The Food Attendant role at Aramark is an essential position within the food service team. Working closely with the manager, the Food Attendant is responsible for assisting in the preparation of food and meals, ensuring the maintenance of accurate meal records, and effectively tracking cash receipts related to daily meal transactions. This position plays a crucial role in upholding Aramark's high standards of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food production. The Food Attendant must be knowledgeable about food safety protocols, including proper food handling, cleanliness, temperature control, and storage practices.
The role involves cooking and baking food items and pastries according to planned menus, as well as preparing daily reports to validate meal preparations and transactions. Food Attendants are expected to provide excellent customer service, following strict meal schedules and departmental procedures. They are also responsible for the proper use and upkeep of culinary implements, especially knives, as well as assisting in cleaning and maintaining refrigerators, freezers, steam tables, and other kitchen equipment.
Punctuality and efficiency are key in this position, ensuring a variety of food and beverages are prepared and served promptly. Attendants contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction by adding decorative garnishes to dishes and adhering to uniform standards. The role demands physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking for extended periods. Compliance with personal protective equipment guidelines and dress regulations is mandatory for safety.
Ideal candidates will possess food service certification and sufficient education or training to understand, write, and follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
