Job Description

Target Corporation is a well-known American retail corporation, recognized as the eighth-largest retailer in the United States. Target’s mission is grounded in creating a joyful and seamless shopping experience for its guests by providing quality products at affordable prices within an inviting store environment. Beyond its commitment to customers, Target is also dedicated to supporting its team members through comprehensive benefits, career development opportunities, and inclusive workplace culture that fosters growth and teamwork.

Target’s Food & Beverage division plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall guest experience by ensuring freshness, accurate pricing, and timely availability of food products throughout its stores. The team is focused on operational excellence, safety standards, food quality, and customer satisfaction. Within this dynamic department, the position of Food & Beverage Team Leader is essential for maintaining smooth department operations and leading a motivated, guest-focused team to achieve department sales goals.

The Food & Beverage Team Leader at Target is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by managing daily Food & Beverage operations, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards, and executing merchandising and promotional strategies. Food & Beverage Team Leaders work collaboratively with store leadership to plan and execute workload activities aligned with sales targets, manage inventory accuracy, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

In addition to overseeing operational functions, the Team Leader acts as a bridge between vendors and the store by establishing strong partnerships to meet brand standards and ensure in-stock reliability. This position also involves supporting various guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up, and cashier backup, further emphasizing the importance of versatility and guest-first mentality.

Target offers a competitive hourly pay range from $22.00 to $37.40 for this role, depending on factors such as labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Along with competitive pay, Target invests in the well-being of its team members by providing comprehensive health benefits including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, and more. Additional perks include 401(k) plans, employee discounts, paid sick leave, paid vacations, and national holidays, making Target a desirable employer in the retail sector.

This leadership position is best suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments and enjoy engaging with guests and team members. The role requires adaptability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, along with the physical capability to manage the demands of the food service and retail environment. Target provides extensive training to help new leaders build expertise in food and beverage operations, guest services, and leadership development.

Joining Target as a Food & Beverage Team Leader means becoming part of an inclusive and ethical culture that emphasizes safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
