Job Description

DoubleTree by Hilton Tallahassee is a prominent hotel property operated by MCR, the third-largest hotel owner-operator in the United States. Founded in 2006, MCR is headquartered in New York City and has offices throughout the country including Dallas, Chicago, and Richmond, Virginia. With a portfolio valued at $5.0 billion, MCR manages 148 premium-branded hotels encompassing more than 22,000 guestrooms spread across 37 states and 106 cities. The company prides itself on its extensive experience running hotels under nine Marriott brands, eight Hilton brands, and numerous unflagged independent hotels. MCR employees over 7,000 team members nationwide and has received numerous accolades including Fast Company's 10 Most Innovative Travel Companies of 2020, Marriott's Partnership Circle Award, and the Hilton Legacy Award for Top Performer. The company also earned significant development and architecture awards for its flagship projects such as the TWA Hotel at New York’s JFK Airport.

The Food and Beverage Supervisor role at DoubleTree by Hilton Tallahassee focuses on overseeing the food and beverage operations while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This position requires a leader who is capable of maximizing sales and revenue via superior customer satisfaction and effective team engagement. The supervisor will be responsible for supervising and training food preparation and service staff, maintaining high sanitation and safety standards, managing cash and financial processes, overseeing inventory and supply requisitions, and enforcing product consistency and quality. They will also handle personnel actions such as hiring, firing, and training, while ensuring operational efficiency through scheduling and workflow management. The supervisor plays a critical role in guest interaction—greeting, seating, and resolving complaints—and in supporting special events and group functions held at the hotel.

Emphasizing MCR’s universal role standards of cleanliness, friendliness, teamwork, and product consistency, the Food and Beverage Supervisor must lead by example in delivering a spotless, welcoming environment for guests throughout all facets of the food and beverage area. The role demands excellent communication and conflict resolution skills as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure hospitality environment with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. Full commitment to MCR’s established procedures and guiding principles is essential to maintain the brand’s strong reputation for guest satisfaction and operational excellence. This role is integral to sustaining the hotel’s positive guest ratings and reviews and achieving high performance scores across all management and operational metrics.

DoubleTree by Hilton Tallahassee offers competitive pay, hotel discounts, and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days of full-time employment, paid time off, retirement options, referral bonuses, and weekly pay. The position requires flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry. Joining MCR means becoming part of a nationally recognized leader committed to innovation, quality, and career advancement opportunities within a large network of premium hotels. This role offers the potential for professional growth and upward mobility within the company’s expansive portfolio.
