The Food and Beverage Supervisor role at Saint Kate represents a dynamic and hands-on leadership opportunity within the hotel's food and beverage department. Reporting directly to The Studio General Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's food and beverage outlet with a primary focus on delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and ensuring operational efficiency. The Food and Beverage Supervisor will serve as a front-line leader, capable of effectively working in all front-of-house positions such as Server, Server Assistant, and Host, demonstrating versatility and a thorough understanding of service excellence.

Beyond supervisory responsibilities, the role includes assisting with staff training and onboarding, managing guest concerns with professionalism, and collaborating on inventory, labor control, and supply ordering. This role requires a proactive individual who can maintain compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards while supporting the operational goals of the hotel. The Food and Beverage Supervisor must work closely with team members to coordinate services during busy periods, execute special events, and provide detailed shift reports that capture sales, guest feedback, and operational updates. Job Requirements

  • minimum 2 years of leadership experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or a related service industry
  • ability to work all front-of-house positions including server, server assistant, and host
  • ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
  • availability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching, and twisting
  • strong knowledge of restaurant and food and beverage operations
  • ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • supervise daily restaurant operations and staff during assigned shifts
  • assist with training, coaching, and onboarding of associates
  • deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally
  • monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards throughout each shift
  • operate the POS system and complete required sales and operational reporting
  • assist with labor control, inventory management, and supply ordering
  • maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards
  • coordinate staff activities to ensure efficient service and proper staffing levels
  • assist in executing special events and group functions
  • complete shift reports highlighting sales, guest feedback, and operational updates
  • communicate associate performance, training needs, and operational concerns to leadership
  • remain calm and effective during high-volume periods and emergencies
  • support and enforce all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards
  • perform other duties and special projects as assigned
