Job Description

Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club stands as one of the most premier places to work in Northeast Florida. Known for its historic legacy and prestigious reputation, this esteemed club offers a unique environment blending luxury, tradition, and innovation in hospitality. Located in a picturesque setting, Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club provides its members and guests with exquisite dining experiences, exclusive recreational facilities, and top-tier customer service. The club prides itself on the quality of its team, valuing people as its greatest asset and continuously seeking passionate, dedicated professionals eager to contribute to the club's excellence. Employees benefit from a supportive work environment where growth and professional development are encouraged through company-provided training, certifications, and continuous learning opportunities.

This role offers a competitive salary plus top pay incentives, flexible scheduling to maintain work-life balance, company-provided uniforms with dry cleaning benefits, and extensive training programs to help staff excel in their positions. Joining Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club means becoming part of a historic landmark where service quality and member satisfaction are held in the highest regard.

The role of Food and Beverage Supervisor is both creative and dynamic, designed for a proven service leader who will elevate the operational standards of the club’s food and beverage services. This position involves supervising Ala Carte staff and overseeing service operations, sometimes in the absence of the Assistant Food & Beverage Director. The supervisor will be responsible for hiring and training staff, particularly for the Wheelhouse Cafe, managing shifts in the Mansion, and ensuring that all service standards exceed expectations. This individual must stay abreast of current trends in food and beverage and integrate these trends into daily operations effectively.

The ideal candidate possesses strong skills in service delivery, including knowledge of wines, beverages—both alcoholic and nonalcoholic—and a deep understanding of dining etiquette, such as course sequencing and proper use of utensils, plateware, and glassware. The supervisor plays a key role in maintaining high-quality service by coordinating team efforts, managing reservations, ensuring cleanliness and readiness of dining areas, and resolving any issues promptly. Emphasis is placed on punctuality, professional appearance, leadership in training new servers, and effective communication with all team members and departments.

Physical demands include standing and moving quickly for extended periods and the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds. This role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, along with a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all club members and staff. Overall, the Food and Beverage Supervisor contributes significantly to the club's esteemed reputation by fostering a culture of excellence and hospitality that aligns with the club’s values and historical prestige.
